To most people the Taelons seem like enlightened, beneficent beings, even messengers from God. The Companions have brought humanity advanced technology and helped solve many of the world's problems.
Plot Synopsis- What would our world be like if an alien species arrived tomorrow? From the mind of Gene Roddenberry, Earth: Final Conflict is the story of Earth in the early 21 st Century after the arrival of the Taelons, or Companions. The series' storyline developed with each episode and, unlike so many other prematurely cancelled shows, American Gothic received a satisfying send-off in its final installment. The talented cast and the picturesque and spooky backdrop of the Old South helped bring the show's magical and frightening tales to life. Review- A unique bland of mystery, horror, danger and humor, American Gothic explored superstition, the paranormal, the after-life, and the ambiguous nature of good and evil. The lives of countless townsfolk, all of whom have in some way been touched by the mysterious Sheriff Buck, are also caught up with the young boy's fate. Lucas wants Caleb to be just like him, but the boy's cousin Gale Emory, who is caught in a web of love and hate with Lucas, and Caleb's murdered half-sister Merlyn, who appears to him as a guardian angel/ghost, try to counter Buck's influence. Lucas has an obsession with power and his son, young Caleb Temple. Sheriff Lucas Buck (Gary Cole) is a man with a reputation he can solve any problem-for a price. Plot Synopsis- The picture-perfect community of Trinity, South Carolina, with its Norman Rockwell exterior, harbors deep secrets.
#EARTH FINAL CONFLICT SEASON 5 CAST SERIES#
The series was plagued by an ever-rotating cast and some questionable plot developments in the final season, but on the whole Ally McBeal was a fun and bittersweet look into the heart of everyone who's ever wondered what life and love are really all about. Although individual episodes are quite enjoyable on their own, dealing effectively with tricky issues, the continuing evolution of the characters' relationships is also interesting. Review- Ally McBeal is an amusing series because it shows us with wit, sometimes sarcasm and always honesty how uncomfortable and inappropriate our lives really are. Yet all of them feel in some way they are misfits and strive to discover their individuality and humanity. Some are neurotic others are just plain mean. Ally and her coworkers are rather quirky people. When not trying the unusual cases her law firm seems to attract, Ally searches for love and navigates the troubled waters of modern ethical questions. Plot Synopsis- Ally McBeal is a lawyer at a Boston law firm dedicated to having fun, which includes a uni-sex bathroom and nightclub, The Martini. We know only that it is always born in pain." No one knows the shape of that future, or where it will take us. The future is all around us, waiting in moments of transition to be born in moments of revelation. Against this peril we can never surrender. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities it is against chaos and despair. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. "All of life can be broken down into moments of transition and moments of revelation. Straczynski also created a short-lived sister series, Crusade, five television movies based on Babylon 5, and an ongoing direct-to-DVD series of short stories titled Babylon 5: The Lost Tales. Nothing is exactly what it appears to be at the beginning of an episode, and nothing remains the same at the end as the five-year story arc unfolds.
Bringing together a cast of complex, realistic characters, intricately woven plot threads, social commentary, and deeply significant emotional and mythical imagery, Babylon 5 invites the viewer to experience a world where "hate and chaos are challenged by faith and love" as a great war unfolds to change the shape of the galaxy and the fates of countless individuals. Michael Straczynski wrote the story for the series more than 10 years before it premiered, wanting to bring the depth and intricacy of a novel to television. The series was a great epic in the tradition of The Lord of the Rings.
Review- Babylon 5 has been called the greatest television series of all time (which is why I have placed at the top of this list). The crew of the station and the alien ambassadors assigned to it must each face personal ordeals, while at the same time attempting to stand against the darkness that threatens to engulf them all. But forces of Light and Dark have begun to reawaken, throwing the future of the galaxy into uncertainty. Plot Synopsis- Babylon 5, a space station located in a neutral part of space, is charged with keeping the peace between numerous alien species.
